Time Zone Conversion Issue with Salesforce Data in Snowflake

Summary

User reports a time zone conversion issue when ingesting data from Salesforce to Snowflake using Airbyte OSS 0.63.8. Data is converted to UTC but the requirement is to retain GMT-8 (West Coast Time). No settings found in Airbyte to adjust this conversion.

Question

Airbyte OSS 0.63.8 on helm (I tried upgrading and everything broke for like 2 weeks so haven’t attempted it again). Having an issue with data coming into snowflake from salesforce with time zones. Our salesforce instance is set up in west coast time and that’s where all of our reporting is done based on but when data lands in snowflake it’s being converted to UTC. I understand most businesses will convert everything to UTC but for us we need things in GMT-8. I don’t see any settings in airbyte to accomplish this and my snowflake account is set up in GMT-8 as well, has anyone dealt with this? I’ve also tried setting up dbt macros to automatically convert all timestamp columns but haven’t had any luck with that yet
