Column order does not match source

  • Description: I am trying to sync a few tabs from a Google Sheet to a table in Google Bigquery. The sync works fine but the order of columns at destination has changed. How do I instruct the connector to keep the source column order?

Hi! Thank you for your patience, I was out of the office yesterday. Unfortunately this is currently not a feature Airbyte supports, this is not a bug. Here’s the GitHub issue for it:

Thanks for the reply. That’s a shame, this should be default behaviour for any ETL connector and is what your competitors do.
Please keep me informed here if a fix is ever approved.

Totally agree! If you feel inclined to do so, you can always contribute a PR to implement this behavior.
