Error 'Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'edition')' on login screen

Summary

The user is facing an error ‘Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘edition’)’ on the login screen after weeks of smooth operation. They have tried reinstalling via abctl and rebooting the machine. They are hesitant to uninstall for fear of data loss. They are seeking guidance on how to start debugging this issue.

Question

Hi team, after weeks of running smoothly, my login screen now gives the error Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'edition')

I tried reinstalling via abtcl (abctl local uninstall / abctl local install) and rebooting the machine. I’m scared to test uninstall that purges data because I have a lot of info saved to those connections.

Anyone know how I can start debugging this?

OS: Ubuntu 22.04
abctl: Latest
Airbyte: Latest

Also a bit more insight:
• I’m connecting via SSH tunnel
• I have low-resource and insecure-cookies checked

If you open the network tab, what does the response for instance_configuration endpoint show? I’m trying to figure out how this is not getting set :eyes:

Bad browser (Chrome), but it works on Safari and Firefox. Still not able to find the reason why it isn’t working on Chrome.

^ Thanks for the assistance Marcos :right-facing_fist: very strange issue indeed
