Source MySQL - All the indices in MySQL source are dropped when using full refresh overwrite mode

Hi team, I’m using MySQL as both source and destination. and in full refresh overwrite mode, I noticed that all the indices in the source stream are dropped in the destination stream.

I’m not sure if that’s on purpose or if I missed some configuration. If that’s on purpose I’m wondering what’s the best practice to add the indices after the migration is successfully done.

The dropped indices are expected. We have an issue about requesting index creation with our normalization process. You can find it here: https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues/2945

I’m not really sure if there’s a best practice here. You can either edit the normalization generated by Airbyte or add an additional custom normalization and add the indices. Hope this answers your question.
