Yes, it is possible to create sources using the API for custom connectors. However, as per the discussion on Airbyte’s GitHub, this feature is currently being worked on for the Airbyte Cloud’s API and is estimated to be available by January 2024. In the meantime, you can use the Airbyte Cloud UI builder which allows easy creation of API based connectors and UI functionality to create a source from those connectors.
